Born and brought up in India, Ritu Jadwani is a fashion designer with an eye for colors and trends. She graduated in Fashion & Apparel Design from NIFT Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Further, she studied MBA and Masters in Global Innovation Management from France, USA and China. With internships and classes held in these three countries, she has developed a global perspective towards business, culture and trends.
Recently she finished her color and trend forecasting internship with Chromosapien firm in New York. As a part of this stint, she compiled Autumn Winter 2014 forecasts for two prominent consulting companies, UK based WGSN and USA based Pantone, under her mentor’s guidance. She was also actively involved in the editing, marketing and publishing of the New york based, Hand Eye international craft magazine. In the past, she has worked in the kids wear, denim, lingerie, contemporary ethnic industries in India and New York. Her work is strongly influenced by Indian crafts & culture and her world travels.
She is an avid traveler, photographer and writer. She contributes to a Dutch magazine, a New York based trend e-magazine, a Paris based trend journal, and Ahmedabad based newspapers and university magazines. She speaks three Indian languages, enjoys French and Chinese, and thinks in English. Her love for art, trend and travel is evident from her writing style and blogs. Currently, she is working on her first book about Ahmedabad.
